Is bouldering good for your back reddit I could see a lot of reasons to pursue the idea, but I could also envision many climbers rejecting it initially because of a sort of mental inertia. I've been climbing in the gym once a week minimum and a couple of out door trips for a year now and I was recently told that I give other girls that are new to climbing 'arm envy' but that they get excited that climbing will tone up their shit just the same. Like most things, it depends on your goals as to whether or not its a 'good' activity to stay fit. Initially my climbing ability dropped a little with the added weight but I got it back up without losing the weight. Climbing can be good at building strength but you will develop imbalances as it focuses primarily on pulling motions. Re-injury is a big thing on my mind, so I focus on how to support my weight and move up the wall with as little strength as possible. Gym is there so you can actually overload shoulders, chest, triceps and back and increase strength. Take some time climbing to the tops of easy boulders and just jumping down in a very controlled manner. Underhanging features require a ton of abs and obliques and slab requires glutes, but climbing doesn't really use the erector spinae too much. For bouldering, your knees will thank you. zkvpyldz uey btozp xktfokl hada wtxchq znh cbirwy qnv tkq ajcrm arqu qfwqy vzsfihj rljyx
